With all the rain this winter season, make sure you are getting your driveway gate repaired and inspected. The one thing no one wants is to find out that the gate is no longer working properly because the rain had an effect on the gate. Check for Damage
Inspect the gate for any paint chips or dents on the gate. If you notice the metal is exposed this should be taken care of immediately because rust could attack the metal. If you see dents in the gate, this can chain to fall off the gate or the gate to falls off of tracks. These are the two major issues that could be caused by damage to the gate. So make sure you inspect the gate and if you notice anything call someone to have this fixed.
Check for Objects
Make sure there is no derby around that could make it difficult to open or close. Some of the things to look out for and should be cleared pebbles, rocks, dirt, sticks because they may not seem like much but could cause damage to the gate. These are objects that may seem harmless but could end up costing you tons of money.
Have the Motor Inspected
If your remote is struggling to open the gate, sometimes it’s just the fact that the batteries need to be replaced. If you have tried that and that did not fix the problem, it may be time to have the motor serviced. Having the motor serviced regularly could really help extend the life of the motor and also help save you money on repairs.
